Merch Aid was created during the COVID-19 crisis to support those in need by connecting designers with the local community. In light of the death of George Floyd they shifted their focus to engaging Black artists to create work to support the Black community. 

To meet the brief, Bobby Martin had to answer “What does Black Lives Matter mean to you?” The answer was simple: It’s a matter of life or death.
